Collection, 1911-1912, includes two general mailing letters from G.W. Morrow asking for funds, Jan. 29 1912, and June 4, 1912 (sent to M.D. Olds); a brochure (4 p.) entitled "the governors vs. the liquor traffic", with a photograph of Chase S. Osborn on the cover; an illustrated postcard showing the "dry" and "wet" counties in the state of Michigan in Jan. 1912; and a League brochure showing "wet" and "dry" counties in the stae in 1911, and including an audited Treasurer's Report for the League for 1910, submitted on Jan. 25, 1911.

Millard D. (M.D.) Olds was born on March 10, 1860 in Hartford (Mich.). He moved to Cheboygan (Mich.) in 1892 where he built his own stave mill. He then bought and sold timber and timberlands. In 1904 Olds bought the Clark & Nelson Sawmill, which operated until 1916. He then bought the Cheboygan Lumber Co., including the McArthur Dock, renaming it the Olds Lumber Co.
